 Background of the Bhagavad Gita:

The Bhagavad Gita is set against the backdrop of the epic Mahabharata. The Mahabharata narrates the story of a great war between two factions of a royal family, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, who are cousins. The Pandavas, led by their righteous prince Arjuna, face the Kauravas, headed by their eldest brother Duryodhana, in a battle for their kingdom.

As the war is about to begin, Arjuna finds himself in a moral dilemma and is filled with doubt and despair. He sees his relatives, friends, and revered elders on both sides of the battlefield, which shakes him emotionally. Arjuna questions the righteousness of engaging in a war that involves killing his own kinsmen.

It is in this critical moment that Lord Krishna, who is an incarnation of the divine, becomes Arjuna's charioteer and guide. Krishna imparts profound spiritual wisdom and guidance to Arjuna, helping him understand his duty, the nature of life and death, and the ultimate purpose of human existence.

The Bhagavad Gita takes place on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, just before the commencement of the war. It is a dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna, where Krishna enlightens Arjuna about various philosophical and spiritual truths, providing him with clarity, strength, and guidance to fulfill his righteous duty as a warrior.

भगवद्गीता महाभारत की महाकाव्यिका की परिसर के विरुद्ध विचित्र रूप लेती है। महाभारत महायुद्ध की कहानी सुनाती है जो एक राजवंश के दो पक्षों, कौरवों और पाण्डवों, के बीच होने वाली है। पाण्डव, अपने धार्मिक योद्धा अर्जुन के नेतृत्व में, अपने राज्य के लिए कौरवों का सामना करते हैं।

जब युद्ध शुरू होने के बाद खड़ा होता है, तो अर्जुन अपने धार्मिक द्विमासिक के बीच संदेह और निराशा से भरा हुआ होता है। वह देखता है कि युद्ध में उनके रिश्तेदार, मित्र और पूज्य बुजुर्ग दोनों पक्षों में हैं, जो उन्हें भावनात्मक रूप से हिला देता है। अर्जुन उनके अपने ही संबंधियों को मारने वाले एक युद्ध में हिस्सा लेने की धार्मिकता पर संदेह करता है।

इस महत्वपूर्ण पल में, जब भगवान कृष्ण, जो परमात्मा की अवतार हैं, अर्जुन के रथचक्र की सवारी और मार्गदर्शक बनते हैं। कृष्ण अर्जुन को गहरे आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान और मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करते हैं, जिससे उन्हें अपने कर्तव्य, जीवन और मृत्यु की प्रकृति, और मानव अस्तित्व के परम उद्देश्य को समझने में सहायता मिलती है।

भगवद्गीता कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्ध क्षेत्र पर स्थित होती है, युद्ध के आरम्भ से पहले। यह अर्जुन और भगवान कृष्ण के बीच बातचीत है, जहां कृष्ण अर्जुन को विभिन्न दार्शनिक और आध्यात्मिक सत्यों के बारे में ज्ञान प्रदान करते हैं, उसे स्पष्टता, शक्ति और मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करते हैं ताकि वह अपने योद्धा के रूप में धार्मिक कर्तव्य का पालन कर सके।
